Arundhati Gold Scheme Benefits(अरुंधति गोल्ड योजना के लाभ)

• Through the scheme, the dream of the economically backward people of Assam will be fulfilled by giving them a wedding gift to their girl child.
• Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 40,000 will be given to the parents to buy gold.
• Gold is always considered auspicious and a symbol of wealth, hence giving gold jewelry by parents to their daughters will lead to the social and economic growth of the girl child.
• So therefore the objective of this Arundhati Gold Scheme is to provide the facility to buy gold to the parents of those girl children who are not financially capable.

Arundhati Gold Scheme Eligibility(अरुंधति गोल्ड योजना में आवेदन हेतु पात्रता)

To apply for this scheme one must have the following qualifications:

• At the time of registration of marriage, the age of the groom should be 21 years and the age of the bride should be 18 years.
• The marriage of the applicant must be registered under the Special Marriage Act 1954.
• Since the scheme was started on 1st December 2019, the applicant should be married on or after 1st December 2019.
• The applicant girl should apply for the Arundhati Gold Scheme on the same day as she applies for her marriage registration.
• The total annual income of the parents of the applicant girl should be less than Rs 5 lakh.
• The applicant girl can avail of the benefit of this scheme only for her first marriage.
• Both bride and groom should have passed at least HLLC or equivalent except from tribal communities of the state including the tea tribe.

To check the eligibility of the girl applying for this scheme, it is necessary to bring the following documents:

• Documents required for proof of age
  • HLLC/CBSE or equivalent pass certificate other than Tea Tribe and Tribal communities as proof of age wherein the bride should have attained the legal age of 18 years and the groom should have attained the age of 21 years.
  • In tribal communities including Tea Tribe Tribes Birth certificate of both the bride and groom issued by a notified authority or certificate of age or any education certificate in the form of a certificate of age or proof through medical examination ascertaining that the groom Whether the bride has completed 21 years and 18 years of age under the Special Marriage Act.

• Attested copy of the marriage certificate issued by the Marriage Officer in the form specified in the Fourth Schedule to the Special Marriage (Assam) Act, 1954.

How to Apply for Arundhati Scheme in Assam(अरुंधति गोल्ड योजना में आवेदन कैसे करें)

• The applicant has to apply for the Arundhati Gold Scheme on the day of applying for marriage registration under the Special Marriage Act 1954.
• The hard copy of the application form will be submitted by the applicant along with the marriage application form to the office of the marriage officer where the application for registration of marriage will be made.
• To avail of the benefits of the Arundhati Gold Scheme, the online form will be filled out by the beneficiary girl.
• To fill out the online form, visit the official website of the scheme from the given link.
