Many schemes have recently been started by the Assam government and changes have been made in the old schemes. Assam Orunodoi Scheme is also an old scheme, which was started in October 2020. The objective of the scheme was to provide benefits in the form of assistance amounting to 24 lakh poor families in the state of Assam.

Women generally have the responsibility of taking care of every family, hence the beneficiaries of this scheme have been kept only the women of the family. Assam Orunodoi Scheme Motive in English(असम ओरुणोदोई योजना के उद्देश्य)

Assam Orunodoi Scheme Benefits(असम ओरुणोदोई योजना के लाभ)

• Earlier, every family used to get Rs 830 every month as a benefit amount.
• But now under this scheme, every family gets an assistance amount of Rs 1000.
• Under the scheme, the living standards of the poor people of the state will improve and they will be empowered.
• Under the scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1000 per month i.e. Rs 12,000 per year is being provided by the government.

Subsidy distribution under Assam Orunodoi Scheme

The beneficiary can spend the subsidy grant amount of Rs 830 received under the scheme in the following ways:

Assam Orunodoi Scheme Eligibility Criteria(असम ओरुणोदोई योजना में आवेदन हेतु पात्रता)

• The beneficiary woman should be a native citizen of Assam state.
• The beneficiary must be living in the state of Assam only.
• The total annual income of the beneficiary’s family should be less than Rs 2 lakh.
• The beneficiary woman should have a bank account in which the benefit amount will come and if she does not have a bank account then she will have to open a bank account before applying.

Primary beneficiaries of Assam Orunodoi Scheme

• If there is a widow, unmarried woman, divorced woman, or any disabled person in the house, then they will be given priority for the scheme.
• Those houses fall in the category of poor families, whether they are connected to NFSA or not.

Assam Orunodoi Yojana Disqualifications in Hindi(असम ओरुणोदोई योजना के लिए अयोग्यताएं)

People with the following qualifications cannot take advantage of this scheme:

• If any member of the household is a government employee or works for a PSU, then he cannot avail of the benefit.
• Those families have 15 bighas of land.
• Those families who have their tractor and four-wheeler.
• Those who have a fridge washing machine or AC at home.
• Those houses in which there is no female member.
• Those houses whose any member is a member of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha.
• Any member of the household is involved in any professional work like a doctor, engineer, CA, or lawyer.

Assam Orunodoi Scheme Offline Apply(असम ओरुणोदोई योजना में आवेदन केसे करे)

• The applicant will have to fill out the application form for this scheme and submit it to the concerned ULB/GP office.
• You can download the scheme form by clicking on the given link and then take a printout of it and fill it out properly.

• In the form, you have to fill in your name, address, police station, mobile number, priority information of family members, and all the information about your bank account.
• Then after signing it, it has to be submitted to the office of the concerned department.

Review of Assam Orunodoi Scheme

• Under the Assam Government’s Orunodoi Scheme 2022, financial assistance of Rs 1000 is being given in the bank accounts of economically weaker women on the 10th of every month.
• Now looking at 15th August, if the beneficiaries buy 1 or 2 tricolor flags, they will get an additional Rs 18, hence on this August, a total of Rs 1018 will come into their account so that they can buy the national flag.
