Ladli Beti Yojana Objective(लाड़ली बेटी योजना के उद्देश्य)

Ladli Beti Yojana has been started by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for the newborn girls there. The objective of this scheme is to correct the falling sex ratio there. This scheme will further ensure that the girl child does not become a burden on her parents or guardian at the time of her marriage. Amrit Sarovar Yojana Kya Hai

This scheme is a hybrid scheme with 2 phases as follows:

Step 1: Recurring deposit for 14 years with completion date one month after the last installment received in the account.

Step 2: Sanchai Fixed Deposit for 7 years

A monthly contribution of Rs 1000 is made by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir in Phase 1.

Benefits of Ladli Beti Yojana(लाड़ली बेटी योजना के लाभ और विशेषताएं)

• Under this scheme, the recurring deposit account will be opened by the natural or legal guardian of the girl child.
• Under the scheme, a contribution of Rs 1,000 will be taken every month by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for the next 14 years from the date of birth of the girl child/account opening (total Rs 168000). The contribution will be made only by the Union Territory.
• No credit except a monthly contribution of Rs 1000 per month. This is applicable only in Phase 1. On maturity of Phase 1 the account will be converted to Phase 2.
• Partial withdrawal or foreclosure is not permitted under any circumstances during any phase.
• The maturity benefit under the scheme will be deposited in the savings bank account of the girl child after the beneficiary girl attains the age of 21 years or after 21 years of the first installment or 85 months after the last installment, whichever is later, however, at girl child card rates. You can reinvest the amount in any deposit scheme of Rs.
• There will be no nominee facility under the scheme and hence if the girl child dies due to any misfortune, the account will be closed immediately and the balance amount along with the interest earned will be returned to the Union Territory of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.
• If the beneficiary dies before completing the age of 21 years, the amount in the Recurring Deposit Account/Fixed Deposit Account will be closed before maturity without prepayment charges.
• An account opened in a particular account cannot be transferred to any other branch, even if the girl in whose name the account stands is transferred to a place other than the city or locality where the account is maintained.
• The parents of the beneficiary girl child will present the life certificate of the beneficiary girl child certified by a Gazetted Officer or the Principal of the college/school before the bank branch every three years
• Since the scheme is aimed at families with annual income less than Rs 75,000, TDS will not be deducted as long as the beneficiary or their parents furnish Form 15G/15H and have a valid PAN card. PM Samagra Swasthya Yojana

How to Apply for Ladli Beti Scheme(लाड़ली बेटी योजना में आवेदन केसे करे)

To apply for this scheme you will have to follow the following steps:

• First of all, you have to go to the official website of the scheme from the given link.
• Then first of all you have to click on the Register button to register on the home page.

• Then you will get the registration page in which you will have to submit your name, email, mobile number, and password and select your state Jammu and Kashmir and your registration will be done.
• Now you have to click on the Login button.

• Then you have to fill in your username and password and click on the Sign In button.
• Then you will come to the dashboard, where you will first have to click on the J&K UT Services option.

• Then in this, you will have to click on the Jan Sugam option and click on the Access Now button.
• Then you have to click on the option View all available services in the Apply for Services section on the new page.

• In this, you will have to search by writing the name of Ladli Beti Yojana in the search box and the link to apply for the scheme will appear in front of you, on which you will have to click.
• Now filling out the application form will start from the new page.
• In this you will first have to fill DPO and CDPO.

• Then you will have to provide the name of the child, date and place of birth, original residence certificate, mobile number, annual income of the family, email ID of the mother/father, with whom the child is living, and then upload a color photo of the child.
• Then you will have to give information about your parents or guardian.

• Here you have to give the name of your parents, date of birth, PAN card number, profession, and original residence number and upload a photo.
• Then you will have to provide your address information.

• In this, you will have to provide information about your current and permanent address and fill in district, tehsil, village, etc.

• Then you have to click on the Validate button.
• Then on the new page, you will get your form preview and you will have to scroll down and click on the Attach Annexure button.

• Then on the new page you will have to upload all the related documents.

• Then you will get all the documents here like address proof, mother’s/father’s ID, birth certificate, bank passbook, mother’s/father’s original residence, child’s and mother’s/father’s Aadhaar card number, family income certificate, and mother’s/father’s PAN card etc. will have to be uploaded.

• Here you can give any of ID proof like an electricity bill, passport, bank passbook, voter ID, driver’s license, etc.
• Then finally you have to click on the Save Annexure button.
