• This is a credit-linked goat scheme to provide more means of income to the tribal people, in which Rs 2,51,000 will be given to one unit by the self-help group.
• The beneficiary will have to pay Rs 25,100 for setting up each unit.
• Tripura Gramin Bank will be the financing agency in this scheme.
• Once the beneficiary receives the benefit amount, he will not need to pay any installment for 9 months.

• Goats are immune to diseases common to pigs and chickens and get sick less often, so goats are perfect for this plan.
• For goats, the purchase of fodder and animal husbandry labor is also less and the goat gives more returns.

• Under the scheme, the beneficiary will get a set of 12 goats, which will include 10 female and 2 male goats, from the open market or the Animal Resources Department.
