PM Devine Yojana is a scheme completely initiated and financed by the Central Government, which has been launched for the development of northeastern states of India. This scheme will work only from the year 2022-23 to 2025-26, 100 percent funding of which will be borne by the Central Government.

According to Union Minister Anurag Thakur, the objective of this scheme is to develop the North-Eastern region in a proper manner and it will be implemented accordingly by including PM Gati Shakti under it. Through this, the social sector projects there will be supported and means of livelihood will also be available to the youth and women. Objectives of PM Devine Scheme

The PM Devine scheme will support infrastructure and social development schemes and provide end-to-end development solutions instead of separate projects. The objective of this PM Devine Scheme is the rapid and overall development of North Eastern states. Through this scheme, the gap in various areas will be filled and there will be no other option for the schemes of the Center and the States.

Some objectives of this scheme are as follows:

Facts and Benefits of PM Devine Scheme

• This scheme has been announced as the Prime Minister’s Development Initiative (PM DeVINE) for the development of North-Eastern states.
• The total budget of this scheme for 4 years has been fixed at Rs 6600 crore, but now the initial list of schemes has been approved with an initial budget of Rs 1500 crore.
• The tenure of this scheme will be from 2022-23 to 2025-26.
• PM Devine will provide support to infrastructure construction, industries, social development schemes, and means of livelihood to youth and women which will generate employment.
• Under this scheme, measures will be taken to ensure proper operation and maintenance of the projects sanctioned.
