Atmanirbhar Assam Scheme Motives

The main objective of this scheme is to encourage self-employment and entrepreneurship among the youth of the state so that unemployment can be reduced in the state and along with the economic development of the people, new jobs can also be created in the state. • To provide self-employment to educated youth of all categories in the right manner.
• To create an entrepreneurship-oriented environment in the state of Assam.
• To generate employment in rural and urban areas by setting up new enterprises.

• To attract the attention of the state government to the rural economy.

Atmanirbhar Assam Scheme Benefits

• This scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister of Assam State, Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma Ji to provide assistance to the enterprises established for the youth.
• Through this scheme, youth from BPL and economically weaker families of the state will be encouraged to set up micro industries and generate self-employment
• Under this scheme, this self-employment will help the youth to support themselves financially through work in the fields of agriculture and horticulture, fishery, poultry/dairy, packaging, readymade garments, plantation, wood-based industries, stationery, fabrication/hardware, etc.
• Under this scheme, 2 lakh youth of the state will be benefited in the next 2 years.

• Under the scheme, eligible youth will be given loans of Rs 2 lakh/3 lakh/5 lakh as per their eligibility, which they will get in two installments.
• Some part of this benefit amount will be given to the beneficiary as a grant by the government and some part as an interest-free loan.
• Beneficiaries selected under the scheme will be given 1 month of free training as per the educational course and skill training center chosen by them.

Atmanirbhar Assam Scheme Eligibility

• Under the scheme, the applicant must be a native of Assam state.
• Under the scheme, the age of the applicant should be a minimum of 28 years and a maximum of 40 years as of April 1, 2023.
• Under the scheme, the maximum age for SC, ST, and OBC categories has been relaxed up to 43 years
• The applicant must have the following educational qualifications:
  • For the general category, you should have passed class 10 (applicants from SC, ST, and OBC categories should also have passed class 10th).
  • Under the scheme, professional degree holders in Engineering, MBBS, BDS, Veterinary, Fisheries, Agriculture, and CA can also apply.
• Under the scheme, the applicant must have adequate skills, experience, knowledge, etc. to start an enterprise.

• Then you have to click on the Scheme Registration button on the home page itself.
• Then you will have to log in to the new page, under which you will have to fill in your registered mobile number.
• Then you have to select either Login with password or Login with OTP option.
